New Ballina Coast High School Training Kitchen

The completely new Ballina Coast High School, built to combine the Ballina High School and Southern Cross Schools into one, features the latest technology and innovative classroom design and their brand new training kitchen is no exception.

This new training kitchen features all Baron commercial 700 series appliances and was completed and commissioned only a few weeks ago, just in time for the start of the new school year. We were present on-site to conduct the commissioning and training of the teachers and facilitators and we were extremely happy to hear their positive feedback regarding the new Baron equipment as well as their past experience with the brand.

The installed Baron appliances included 9 units of our four burner gas cook top, featuring electric ignition, on electric oven, a double well gas fryer, a mild steel gas griddle with a smooth and ribbed combination surface and a 60L capacity electric bratt pan

The fit-out, design, stainless steel work and the install were carried out by the experienced team over at T&H Sheetmetal who won the contract for the new kitchen facilities.

The team at Scots Ice Australia are very proud how the kitchen turned out and wish the students all the best on their road to culinary greatness with their new training facility.

The perfect example of why Baron is a must for training kitchens is with their gas burner range with electric oven. At 800 mm wide, the four burner cook top gives the students plenty of space in front of the equipment while providing enough burners for students to share.

The gas cook top burners are also supplied with electric ignition for lighting the burners, making it a lot safer for students and no need for matches or sparker guns.

The mushroom type burners are perfect for this type of application as it prevents clogs from spills or accidents and can be supplied in small, medium or large size to provide the exact amount of power desired for each application.

Each unit is supplied standard with fully protected pilot lights and flame failure device for each burner, which also helps to prevent clogs from spills or accidents.
